1948 Jaguar MK 4 Drophead 3.5 L
Sold in 1999.
I purchased this MK4 from mister Robert Barnes, who at the time he owned the car was the president of Estee Lauder, the cosmetics giant. He kept the car at his holyday home in Palm Springs, California.
After I purchased the car, the Jaguar was transported on a flat bed to Los Angeles for shipping, but it was confrontated with a wind storm that ripped off the beige soft top. So a new soft black soft top was fitted with the great help of the insurance company.
It was sold immediately after import in Belgium, and I traded it in after several years on another, very different car.
